The hôtel-restaurant  Auberge de la Source*** is an attractive guest-house made of millstone and covered in Virginia creeper at the very heart of the region of Brie, only 70 kms away from Paris, 30 minutes by car from Disneyland Paris , and the first Champagne vineyards. This 250-years old inn was in the fifties the favourite haunt of the Montmartre painters, and of the famous French writer Pierre Mac Orlan, who was a great lover of Saint Cyr sur Morin and the valley. It has lately been entirely restorated in order to add all the modern conveniences to authenticity.

The rooms, decorated in the Gustavian style by Camille Bertrand, have been designed to provide both the charm and the comfort expected from a first-rate countryside hostel. They were renovated for you to enjoy delightful moments in the pastoral setting as well as peaceful nights away from the noise and confusion of the city.
The restaurant's cooks will make you discover the finest French gourmet cuisine, made with fresh seasonal products from the market. The landlord will also invite you to savour a good selection of wines and champagnes, including his personal vintage, the "blanc de blanc Jean Cassou, 100% Chardonnay".
A cosy and original bar will be entirely at your service and offer you a good choice of armagnac and cognac, which you will be able to enjoy on the beautiful wooden terrace covered in ivy, wisteria and lavender. In the summer, you will have leisure to rest in the garden, where a second bar will be at your disposal, and to enjoy the heated swimming pool at 26°C.
The inn is pleasant to live in in all seasons, with its fireplace, wing chairs and coir matting, and the staff will be happy to welcome birthday parties as well as seminars and cultural events like painting, photo or sculpture exhibitions.
